Documentation Engineering Change Analyst

Summary:
Data Domain (DD), an EMC Company is looking for a Document Control Analyst. This position requires a senior and experienced candidate who needs to be a self starter and willing to work with minimal supervision. Uses sound judgment in application of Document Control procedures and principles to execute and complete various types of change orders. Has good interpersonal skills and be able to interact with various functional groups to meet internal and external customer demands. Fluent in the use of MS Office and other Product Lifecycle Management tools being used at Data Domain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Expert at creation of product structures, generation of enhancement to present processes and be able to handle complex situations. All of this needs to be done within bounds of established document control department rules and principles, while still meeting project needs and customer requirements.
-Be able to conduct bills of material (BoM) reviews and Change Control Board meetings and maintain and track action items to closure
-Have the ability to compile and analyze data; be able to extract information for presentation to management, if needed
- Demonstrates working knowledge of process and be able to understand product BoM structure(s); responds to requests for information which requires research and some analysis of data.
-Be able to identify, investigate, and solve PLM system and Documentation process issues, utilizing relevant best practices and solutions and most importantly common sense
- Hands on experience with Arena and knowledge of SAP basic transaction codes is mandatory. Should be willing to participate in testing of changes or enhancements in present or new systems/applications and bring new tools, techniques and better ways to execute current PDM/PLM methodologies
Required Skills/Experience:
Arena experience is mandatory; must have great attention to detail and good organization skills as well as a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently. Well versed in various compliance requirements for chemicals and hazardous substances; namely REACH, WEEE and RoHS. Familiar with ISO9001, excellent communication skills; network industry background, basic computer system knowledge/experience is a plus.
