PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Senior Software Engineer( Platform Infrastructure) Looking for top flight Lead software engineers with a track record of innovation and solving complex problems to work on the next generation of platform features for the Data Domain’s innovative DDOS over various architectural platforms, multiple-CPU, including multi-node cluster, and high-availability (HA) platforms. Responsibilities’: · Work with the team members and other teams to define, design and develop the Volume Infrastructure . · Initial area of responsibility includes development of platform infrastructure modules, such as Disk Infrastructure, License management, enhance volume features. · Participate in all phases of the development cycle. · Interface with other functional areas such as Support, QA, and Product Management. · Interact with customers to troubleshoot and solve complex problems. · Develop and review unit test procedures and work closely with QA to develop system integration test plans Qualifications: • MS in computer science or similar fields with minimum 5 years of experience, or BS with 8 years of experience. • Expertise in Linux/Unix systems programming in C. • Understanding of platform environment monitoring concepts is a plus. • Expertise in designing and implementing and debugging user level, multi-threaded processes. • Knowledge/experience on storage, RAID, I/O and network management is preferred. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Should be a team player who likes to work in a high energy atmosphere.
