Consultant Software Engineer Cloud \ Virtual

Architect/Developer - Cloud Infrastructure Group (Consulting Engineer)
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Cloud Infrastructure Group is looking for an experienced architect
and implementor to work on advanced development for its scalable cloud
computing platform. Key areas of expertise include virtualization,
distributed systems and networking. Experience with systems running at
Internet scale, storage or security are a plus. This position will be working closely 
with VMWare to integrate the Virtualization technology with the Cloud technology - Very 
leading edge Technical position at the front of the Industry.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A successful candidate will work within the R&D organization to design
and implement innovative solutions in new technology areas, extending
current systems and contributing to new system analysis and design
efforts. The position will require interaction with multiple
engineering teams, key technology partners and customers. Significant
external interaction, including with remote teams, will be required,
so strong communication skills are a must.
SKILLS
Ability to work independently as part of a small and agile
team. Understanding of the challenges of building and operating
large-scale systems. Ability to motivate others and work
collaboratively. Strong communication skills.
Experience with cloud, scalable or distributed computing technologies
and platforms. Direct implementation experience with virtualization
technology, distributed systems, networking or storage systems.
Experience building software for distributed, networked
environments. Experience working with customers and partners to
deliver innovative technology solutions.
EDUCATION
Masters or PhD in computer science or computer engineering, with
direct experience in computer systems, distributed systems, networking
or storage.
