EMC wants to talk to candidates interested in the following opportunity: Senior Program Manager General Summary: The Senior Program Manager is the lead post-sales contact devoted to major or enterprise accounts. The Senior Program Manager serves as the customer’s initial contact for all project/program related issues. You will utilize relationships developed and knowledge of customer to identify opportunities for future solutions and direct CSDs toward opportunities. You will also regularly monitor status of all post-sales work being conducted by EMC to ensure timely completions that maximize customer satisfaction. Senior Program Managers collaborate with practice leaders and/or resource managers to bring the most skilled technical resources to accounts during the post sales process and ensure that all post- implementation processes are followed. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery of multiple or highly complex project plans including:

Accountability for delivering projects on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer and sales,
Preparation of detailed project plans, strategies and project management plan for the implementation of an engagement within the standards of project management methodologies,
Working with the Solution Principal (SPs) to define project scope, captured in the services statement of work, by working closely with the customer and Sales to identify specific customer requirements.

Requirements are categorized into a project plan detailing schedules, controls, resources, costs and daily tasks. Responsible for creating goals and milestones within a project to ensure EMC''s commitments to the customer are achieved.

Prepares regular updates for customers, senior technology management that details all post sales work that has been completed, the timeliness of work and the benefits to the customer. Additional future planned projects timelines and goals should be articulated.
Overall responsibility or ensuring all post-sales efforts are delivered on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer, CSLs and sales.
Uses in depth knowledge of customer to identify other solutions opportunities within accounts and pass leads onto CSL and reps.
Communicates to all EMC concerned parties any existing or potential customer escalation issues and provides regular updates of progress on those issues to both customer and EMC personnel.
Extensive travel may be required for extended periods of time

Required Skills:
· Project Management skills including Work-planning, Estimating, Meeting Facilitation, Issue Resolution and proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite.
· Demonstrated ability to manage Multi-Million dollar programs with multiple project work streams.
· Ability to put yourself into the shoes of the client and use this perspective to reach successful outcomes time and time again, particularly in highly emotional situations.
· Ability to use a breadth of analysis techniques, tools and approaches (e.g. stakeholder maps; business cases; communications plan; user stories) in order to shape and influence client ROI.
· Communicates with clarity, credibility, honesty and impact, and considers audience characteristics, chooses best format and style of communication depending on desired outcome and audience. Is comfortable discussing issues with internal and client Sr. Managers and Executives.
· Demonstrates assurance when making decisions, without being overbearing or condescending.
· Experience with EMC technology or significant competitor technology (HDS, IBM, Veritas, etc.)
· Experience interacting with all levels of an organization within IT and Business Groups; including ‘C’ levels
· Experience with Data Center Operations, Migration, Move and/or Consolidation required.
· Exposure to Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery planning, and ITIL is a plus
· Exposure to recovery strategy planning and implementation is a plus
· Demonstrated leadership including the ability to grow and develop other people.

· Experience with process and quality management.

· 3-5 years experience and a minimum of 2-3 completed programs within Consolidation & Virtualization in a Data Center environment
· Has directly lead teams of 6-12 people on projects extending to up to 40 people (across multiple project teams) ranging in duration from 2-8 months
· Experience in a Professional Services environment preferred Experience in Data Center Operations is preferred
