Consultant Financial Analyst

General Summary:

This opportunity is for a Consultant analyst position within the Symmetrix and Virtualization Product Finance organization providing support to the worldwide Symmetrix Engineering group. We foster a matrix support model bridging business and financial partnerships between functional organizations, providing tactical, strategic, and financial information supporting the overall organization. It requires a highly motivated individual with very strong analytical skills, revenue and accounting background and critical report building skills. Candidate must be customer oriented and have strong interpersonal skills.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Acts as a Business Partner for assigned functional VPs, Directors and other Sr. Management providing specialized analysis to support decision-making processes.

• Active team member who will participate in the preparation/tracking of the SVPG P&L,Corporate reporting requirements, investment/ROI analysis and the annual planning cycles.

• Analysis of worldwide, divisional and departmental financial performance. 

• Designs and implements special financial analysis, i.e. business cases working with the Product group.

• Participates in initiatives at a cross-functional level to translate feedback into appropriate metrics and report design to optimize analysis capability. 

• D evelop/implement new techniques, methodologies and tools for improving the reporting process that support key financial and business metrics.

• Manages, consolidates, and organizes system data using tools to architect database solutions supporting such metrics and report design.

• Strong analytical, financial skills and accounting background
• Results driven and the ability to multi-task
• Problem solving skills
• Strong computer skills: Hyperion/Essbase CSOB & OBIEE, Oracle/SAP, Excel, BRIO/Database tools
• Ability to leverage and influence matrix management and work in team environments

Education Required:

• Bachelors (Non-Tech) or equiv
• MBA/CPA preferred
• 8-12 Years
