GENERAL SUMMARY
Database and Warehouse Solution Architect

Structured data management specialist with a substantial understanding of strategies for optimization of structured data systems. The candidate will lead advanced solutions and engineered integration components in order to optimize the integration of core EMC products with leading database partners. The candidate will be expected to have hands on modern database skills, as well as a clear understanding of architectural design constraints in the horizontal / MPP / distributed systems environment as it applies to scale out information management environments. It is assumed that the candidate will bring customer based / real-world experience in schema design, optimization, backup/recovery planning as well as a demonstrated understanding of emerging EIM techniques in information federation, information integration, information marts & cubes, and semantic technologies.

Database Skills (required):
Understanding of ERWIN and MOF and the ability to design/optimize schemas for both OLTP and OLAP styled use cases
The ability to install, cluster/federate, load, backup, restore modern database environments
A clear understanding of both ACID/BASE styles for information consistency
SQL design / DBA skills and understand basic SQL optimizer techniques

Developmental Skills (preferred)
Demonstrated distributed development skills in Java, Groovy, SpringFramework, Aspect Oriented Programming
An understanding of XML (Xquery/XUF, Xforms, XSLT) and RESTful integration styles

Professional:
Demonstrated leadership capabilities in matrixed/distributed teams
10 years of relevant industry experience
